Il dirige la R&amp;D en ing\u00e9nierie du groupe de recherche sur la ventilation liquidienne.  Il d\u00e9veloppe des mod\u00e8les num\u00e9riques, des strat\u00e9gies de contr\u00f4le et des dispositifs pour assurer une respiration liquidienne efficace et s\u00fbre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Professor Philippe Micheau is specialized in mechatronics and control. He led the engineering aspects of the academic research group in liquid ventilation. He develops numerical models, control strategies and devices to ensure efficient and safe liquid breathing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usherbrooke.ca\/recherche\/specialistes\/details\/etienne.fortin-pellerin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">\u00c9tienne Fortin-Pellerin<\/a>, MD, Msc<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Dr Fortin-Pellerin travaille avec un mod\u00e8le ovin n\u00e9onatal pour d\u00e9velopper les indications cliniques de la ventilation liquidienne totale. Il se concentre principalement sur le traitement de la d\u00e9tresse respiratoire des pr\u00e9matur\u00e9s les plus extrems. Il utilise des m\u00e9thodologies invasives et non invasives pour \u00e9tudier les impacts de la ventilation liquidienne sur le syst\u00e8me cardiovasculaire afin d&#8217;affiner les techniques de ventilation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr Fortin-Pellerin works with a neonatal ovine model to develop clinical indications of total liquid ventilation. His main focus is on treatment of the respiratory distress of the extremely premature infant. He uses invasive and non-invasive methodologies to study liquid ventilation impacts on the cardiovascular system in order to refine ventilation techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usherbrooke.ca\/recherche\/specialistes\/details\/jean-paul.praud\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jean-Paul Praud<\/a>, MD, PhD<\/strong><br>Le Dr Praud est un p\u00e9diatre sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9 en m\u00e9decine respiratoire. Les int\u00e9r\u00eats de recherche du Dr Praud sont directement li\u00e9s \u00e0 sa vaste expertise clinique de la fonction des voies a\u00e9riennes sup\u00e9rieures n\u00e9onatales, ainsi qu&#8217;\u00e0 ses activit\u00e9s cliniques qui comprennent les soins quotidiens des nourrissons atteints d&#8217;apn\u00e9es de la pr\u00e9maturit\u00e9, d&#8217;\u00e9v\u00e9nements apparemment mortels et le suivi des familles de victimes du syndrome de mort subite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr Praud is a pediatrician specialized in respiratory medicine. Dr Praud\u2019 research interests are directly in line with his extensive clinical expertise in neonatal upper airway function, as well as his clinical activities which involve the daily care of infants affected with apneas of prematurity, apparently life-threatening events and the follow-up of families of sudden-infant-death-syndrome victims. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usherbrooke.ca\/recherche\/specialistes\/details\/sebastien.poncet\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">S\u00e9bastien Poncet<\/a>,&nbsp;Eng., PhD, HDR<\/strong><br>Le professeur S\u00e9bastien Poncet est sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9 dans la m\u00e9canique des fluides, les interactions fluide-structure et les mod\u00e8les num\u00e9riques d\u00e9di\u00e9s. Ses recherches portent sur les m\u00e9canismes physiques et le d\u00e9veloppement de nouvelles technologies pour la clairance du mucus bronchique. Dans le cadre d&#8217;Innolivent, il a \u00e9tudi\u00e9 le m\u00e9canisme fondamental responsable du collapsus respiratoire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Professor S\u00e9bastien Poncet is specialized in fluid mechanics, fluid-structure interactions and dedicated numerical models. His researches focus on physical mechanisms and development of new technologies for bronchial mucus clearance. In the context of Innolivent, he investigated the fundamental mechanism responsible for the respiratory collapsus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/k%C3%A9vin-le-duc-9b9a5a50\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Kevin Leduc, MD, chercheur invit\u00e9\">Kevin Le Duc, MD, chercheur invit\u00e9<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kevin Le Duc est Praticien hospitali\u00e9 que en N\u00e9onatalogie au CHU de Lille (France) et chercheur invit\u00e9 \u00e0 l&#8217;Universit\u00e9 de Sherbrooke. Durant son s\u00e9jour, il va mener des \u00e9tudes pr\u00e9-cliniques avec Inolivent 9.2 pour imager les voies a\u00e9riennes par CT-scan dynamique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kevin Le Duc is Neonatologist at Lille University Hospital (France) and a visiting researcher at the Universit\u00e9 de Sherbrooke. During his stay, he will be carrying out pre-clinical studies using Inolivent 9.2 for dynamic CT airway imaging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/christophe-morin-b86094137\/?originalSubdomain=ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Christophe Morin, PhD student in physiology<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Christophe poursuit actuellement un doctorat en physiologie sous la supervision du Pr Fortin-Pellerin, du Pr Praud et du Pr Micheau. Ses projets en ventilation liquidienne totale visent \u00e0 \u00e9valuer la stabilit\u00e9 respiratoire et h\u00e9modynamique des agneaux grands pr\u00e9matur\u00e9s et la distribution du perflubron dans les poumons. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Christophe is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in physiology under the supervision of Pr Fortin-Pellerin, Pr Praud, and Pr Micheau. His projects in total liquid ventilation aim to evaluate respiratory and hemodynamic stability of extremely preterm lambs, and study perflubron distribution in lungs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/mohamed-amin-boudaouara-77046926\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" title=\"Mouhamed-Amin Boudaouara, MScA student\">Mouhamed-Amin Boudaouara, MScA student<\/a> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mouhamed-Amin Boudaouara is currently pursuing a Master\u2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering under the supervision of Philippe Micheau and Dr \u00c9tienne Fortin-Pellerin. His project is to optimize the liquid ventilator used by Inolivent for researches with extremely premature neonate animal models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mouhamed-Amin Boudaouara poursuit actuellement une ma\u00eetrise en g\u00e9nie m\u00e9canique sous la supervision de Philippe Micheau et du Dr \u00c9tienne Fortin-Pellerin. Son projet consiste \u00e0 optimiser le ventilateur liquidien utilis\u00e9 par Inolivent pour des recherches sur des mod\u00e8les animaux de nouveau-n\u00e9s extr\u00eamement pr\u00e9matur\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Alexandru Panaitescu, MSc student in Physiology <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alexandru Panaitescu poursuit actuellement une ma\u00eetrise en physiologie sous la supervision de Dr \u00c9tienne Fortin-Pellerin et de Pr Philippe Micheau. Son projet consiste \u00e0 \u00e9valuer l\u2019impact du retournement de position p\u00e9riodique sur les \u00e9changes gazeux et la m\u00e9canique respiratoire chez les sujets, en temps de sevrage de la ventilation liquidienne totale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alexandru Panaitescu is currently pursuing a MSc in Physiology under the supervision of Dr \u00c9tienne Fortin-Pellerin and Pr Philippe Micheau. His project consists in evaluating the impact of periodic rotation from supine to prone position on gas exchange and respiratory mechanics in subjects undergoing weaning from total liquid ventilation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/symon-vanackere-222498236?utm_source=share&amp;utm_campaign=share_via&amp;utm_content=profile&amp;utm_medium=android_app\" title=\"Symon Vanackere, MScA student\">Symon Vanackere, MScA student<\/a> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Symon Vanackere est un \u00e9tudiant fran\u00e7ais en \u00e9change avec l&#8217;universit\u00e9 de Sherbrooke. Actuellement en ma\u00eetrise g\u00e9nie m\u00e9canique sous la supervision de Philippe Micheau,&nbsp; S\u00e9bastien Poncet et du Dr \u00c9tienne Fortin-Pellerin, il travaille sur Inolivent 9.2 et \u00e0 son adaptation \u00e0 un appareil de r\u00e9sonance magn\u00e9tique pour imager les poumons en VLT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Symon Vanackere is a French exchange student at the University of Sherbrooke. Currently enrolled in a master&#8217;s degree in mechanical engineering under the supervision of Philippe Micheau, S\u00e9bastien Poncet and Dr. \u00c9tienne Fortin-Pellerin, he is working on Inolivent 9.2 and its adaptation to a magnetic resonance scanner for VLT lung imaging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/malo-gu%C3%A9mas-a32bb9255\/\" title=\"\">Malo Gu\u00e9mas<\/a>, MScA Student <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Malo Gu\u00e9mas est un \u00e9tudiant fran\u00e7ais en \u00e9change avec l&#8217;universit\u00e9 de Sherbrooke.
